Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you provide a charter skipper for our fleet?

For seasonal placements (April-October), we recommend booking 2-3 months in advance to secure the best match for your fleet. For weekly assignments or emergency replacements, we typically respond within 24 hours with available skipper profiles and can have qualified captains onboard within 48-72 hours for Sardinia, Corsica, and Balearics bases. Other Mediterranean locations: 72-96 hours.

What’s included in your charter skipper placement service?

Our placement service includes: skipper CV and certification verification, reference checks from previous charter companies, vessel-specific briefing materials, pre-season communication with your base team, arrival logistics coordination, and ongoing support throughout the contract. We also provide backup skipper availability for emergency situations.

Do your skippers have experience with our specific boat brand?

Yes. We maintain detailed records of each skipper’s vessel expertise and only match captains who have proven experience with your specific fleet. For Lagoon catamarans, Bavaria monohulls, Fountaine Pajot, Jeanneau, and Beneteau fleets, we have multiple skippers with 3+ seasons on each brand. If your fleet includes less common brands, we’ll identify skippers with similar vessel experience and arrange familiarization time before the first charter.

Can we interview skippers before placement?

Absolutely. We encourage charter companies to interview candidate skippers via video call before finalizing placement. We’ll provide 2-3 qualified profiles matching your requirements, arrange interview times, and facilitate the selection process. For permanent placements, we can also arrange in-person interviews or trial periods.

What if a skipper doesn’t meet our expectations?

We stand behind our placements. If a skipper doesn’t meet your operational standards or guest satisfaction expectations, contact us immediately. For seasonal contracts, we offer a 2-week evaluation period where replacement is provided at no additional placement fee. For all placements, we maintain backup skipper availability and will work to resolve any issues promptly.

How does skipper payment work?

Skipper payment is arranged directly between your charter company and the captain. We facilitate the connection and provide industry-standard rate guidelines for your region and vessel type. Our placement fee is separate and covers the recruitment, vetting, and placement services. Payment terms are flexible based on contract duration.
